Last Thursday night I gave a presentation to a UCC Economics Society event on the Irish Budget Deficit. My task was to consider some of the issues on the expenditure side of the debate. Here are the slides I used.
Really good, of course, the stats on the pension do not take into account cost of repairs or major items of capital expenditure which might have a negative impact on households who depend on state social payments and have no recourse to other income.
